MK Dons Cancel First Team Awards

After a season spent struggling against a relegation they look certain to suffer, MK Dons chairman Peter Winkelman has decided to concel the Palyer of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, Team Performance of the Year and Top Goalscorer awards for the season. Winkelman told the club's official website: "This has been an unacceptable season and we are not a football club that wishes to celebrate failure. We will continue the night to honour the excellent achievements of the academy, the ladies and the Sport and Education Trust's disability teams. There will also be honours for our supporters and a special recognition chairman's award. Off the pitch, our first-team players have continued to make an impact in the community - those who have made a significant contribution in these areas will be acknowledged on the night."

PSG Confirm The Summer Departure Of Emery

In more news that everyone knew months ago, Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery is set to leave the club in the summer after failing to win the Champions League this season. The Spaniard, who won the Europa League 3 years in succession, has been with the Parisiens for two seasons now, finishing second in Ligue 1 in his first season and this season they claimed the title by beating last season's champions Monaco 7-1. Emery said: "I have told the players I am leaving. I thank president Nasser Al Khelaifi, the director of sport Antero Henrique, the supporters and all the players for these two seasons." I think we will all be sorry to see the third most entertaining Emery of all time, behind Dick and Board, go.

Arsenal, Marseille And Atletico Charged By UEFA

Three of the four clubs who are contesting the Europa League semi-finals are facing UEFA charges following the first leg on Thursday. Marseille received 2 charges, for setting off fireworks and the blocking of stairways in their 2-0 win over RB Salzburg. Arsenal also face a charge for setting off fireworks, while Atletico face two charges for improper conduct of the coach and the throwing of objects. Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has also been charged with insulting a match official.

Maradona Quits Fujairah

After failing to win automastic promotion in his first season with UAE side Al Fujairah, Argentine legend Diego Maradona has quit the club. The 57 year old, who lives in the region, only took charge in May, but has walked away after a draw with Khorfakkan left them unable to achieve promotion this season.

Iniesta Set To Leave Barca

Andres Iniesta is set to leave Barcelona at the end of the season. The 33 year old legend has yet to announce where he will be playing instead, but has confirmed it will not be a team in Europe. Iniesta said: "I said I would never play against Barca so it is not going to be in Europe. We will know at the end of the season - there are still things to talk about. It is a difficult day for me to be here saying goodbye when I've spent my whole life here. A great deal of who I am, is down to Barca and La Masia - I am very thankful to them. I spoke to a lot of people - players, coaches - and I know what they want, but I tried to be honest with myself and the club."

Former Pro Auctions Medals For Charity

Former footballer Geoff Horsfield is to auction off his football memorabilia to help those less fortunate than himself. Horsfield said: "People say 'You must be mad to let your medals go'. But by selling them I can help people less fortunate than me. That's how I look at it. Of course, I was honoured to win those medals, and they mean a lot - but they tend to gather dust in the loft. So if I can auction them for a good cause then so be it. I've got all my memories upstairs in my brain. Someone else can enjoy the medals and we can raise money for charity at the same time." The proceeds from the sales will go towards the Geoff Horsfield Foundation's plan to build a centre in Birmingham that will offer accommodation, food and showers for the homeless. Horsfield is hoping to also house a cafe, gym, rehabilitation centre and counselling services for people with alcohol and drug addictions in the centre.

Kante Admits Fatigue

In some news no one expected to hear, Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante admits to being human and feeling fatigue. The France international midfielder said: "This season I experienced the Champions League and its high intensity games. There was also Boxing Day and a heavy workload during the winter months, but since our elimination from the Champions League, it has calmed down a bit with one game per week. There was fatigue during the season, but I am well looked after at Chelsea. I am feeling well and will get in shape for the World Cup. There's nothing to worry about." I guess that is what happens when you spend a season carrying Cesc Fabregas.
