Transfers

Juventus and AC Milan have sorted out a three player deal between the two Serie A sides. Leonardo Bonucci has rejoined Juve in a swap deal with Mattia Caldara going the other way, a deal valued at just over £31m by the two clubs. Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain has moved to Milan along with Caldara, on loan for the year for a fee of around £16m with the option to make the deal permanent for around £32m.

Derby County have sold forward Offrande Zanzale to Accrington Stanley for an undisclosed fee.

A double swoop was made by Doncaster Rovers. Donnie picked up teenage defender Herbie Kane on loan from Liverpool until January and free agent striker Paul Taylor on a 1 year deal. Taylor had left previous club Bradford City by mutual consent in April.

Striker Cole Stockton has returned to Tranmere Rovers. The 24 year old graduated Tranmere's academy and had his Carlisle United contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Czech Republic international winger Jiri Skalak has moved to Millwall for an undisclosed fee of around £700,000. The 26 year old was unable to break into Brighton & Hove Albion's side in the Premier League. Millwall have also sent defender Sid Nelson on loan for 6 months to Swindon Town.

Free agent goalkeeper Luke Simpson has signed for Macclesfield Town on a non-contract basis following his release from York City.

Luke Murphy has been able to find a new club quickly, after being released by Leeds United this week the midfielder has signed for Bolton Wanderers.

Another free agent, goalkeeper Stuart Moore, has found a new club. The 23 year old has signed for MK Dons following his release by Swindon.

Former Manchester City youngster Ishmael Miller has signed for League Two side Oldham Athletic. The now 31 year old had been released by Bury at the end of the 2016-17 season but a trial spell convinced Oldham to give him a 1-year deal.

AFC Wimbledon have made their 9th and 10th signings of the summer. Defenders Rod McDonald and Tyler Garrett have bolstered the Dons defence. McDonald has come from Coventry City for an undisclosed fee, while Garrett is on loan for the season from Doncaster Rovers.

Recently released veteran goalkeeper Andy Lonergan has signed for Middlesbrough. The 34 year old spent last season with Leeds United, his second spell with the Whites.

Fleetwood Town have signed free agent goalkeeper Paul Jones.

Huddersfield Town have sold striker Jordy Hiwula to Coventry City for an undisclosed fee. The 23 year old came from Man City's academy originally and spent last season on loan with Fleetwood.

Peterborough United have sold yet another player. This time midfielder Anthony Grant has left for an undisclosed fee to join Shrewsbury Town.

Nottingham Forest defender Adam Crookes has joined Lincoln City on a season-long loan deal.

England youth international Kean Bryan has left Manchester City on a free transfer to join Sheffield United. The deal does have a sell-on clause which gives City a percentage of any future transfer fee that the Blades receive for the 21 year old utility player.

After his release from Kazakhstan side FC Kaysar, former Notts County, Mansfield Town, Ross County and St Mirren forward Yoann Arquin has signed a 6 month deal with Yeovil Town.

Newcastle United have finally completed the signing of Japanese striker Yoshinori Muto from Mainz 05 for a fee of over £9.5m. The 26 year old will be the first Japanese player ever to play for the Toon, a move held up by the wait for a work permit, which was finally granted yesterday.

Defender Callum McFadzean has earned himself a deal until January after spending pre-season training with Bury. The 24 year old has a chance to step up to League Two after spending last season with National League side Guiseley.

Cue celebrations from Everton fans as they have offloaded lumbering 'defender' Ashley Williams for the season. The 33 year old (is that a mistake, only he moves like he is 53) will be playing in the Championship for Stoke City after joining them on a season-long loan deal.

Fulham have made another signing as the ambitious London club look to build a side to do more than just battle relegation following their promotion to the Premier League. Defender Alfie Mawson has arrived for an initial fee of around £15m from relegated Swansea City. The 24 year old could end up costing the Cottagers £20m due to add-ons, with former club Barnsley benefitting from a sell-on clause they placed in the deal when they sold him to the Swans.

Young Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira will be spending another season on loan in Portugese football, having previously had a season at Belenenses. The 22 year old will be at Vitoria Setubal this time.

Crystal Palace have signed free agent German midfielder Max Meyer after the 22 year old's contract with Schalke 04 expired in the summer.

Arsenal have continued the clearout of Arsene Wenger's underachievers as centre forward Chuba Akpom moves to PAOK Saloniki for a fee of just under £1m.

Real Betis have paid just over £4m to sign Brazilian centre back Sidnei from Deportivo La Coruna.

Sassuolo have sent two players on loan and paid just over £3m to sign teenage Italian striker Enrico Brignola from Benevento. Benevento have Italian midfielders Federico Ricci and Filippo Bandinelli on loan as part of the deal.

Birmingham Get Embargo Lifted A Little

Birmingham City have had some of the restrictions of their transfer embargo, imposed by the English Football League, lifted. Instead of being unable to sign any players, the Championship side have been given license to sign up to 5 players, so long as they pay no fees or compensation for any of the signings. The transfer ban was placed on the club after they breached FFP regulations by making losses above the £39m limit over three seasons.

Willian Takes Legal Action Against Forgery

Chelsea's Brazilian midfielder Willian has asked his lawyers to take action after a document was circulated which authorised a change of agent by the 29 year old. Willian said that he "never signed the letter" which "has been circulated through the football market". He also said that there was "clear evidence that my signature has been forged, or anyway misused".
