Assistant Ref Suffers Head Injury After Being Hit By Drink

Sturm Graz have condemned one of their fans who was caught on TV cameras standing up and throwing a full drink at an assistant referee during their Europa League tie with AEK Larnaca. The official, Sweden's Fredrik Klyver, was hit on the head by the cup and suffered a gashed head which required treatment. The match was delayed by 24 minutes for his treatment before he was replaced by the fourth official. Graz apologised with the statement: "We are sorry that today we have disappointed many football fans. This damages the reputation of football and us as a club. We always try to see football as a positive celebration and to tackle these things exactly. Fair play is our top priority."

Spurs Create Premier League History

Tottenham Hotspur have created Premier League history by becoming the first team to not make a single signing in the summer transfer window so it was created in 2003, despite Pochettino calling for the club to be brave and take risks with signings at the end of last season. Now Pochettino is saying he is just pleased to hold onto players, despite the European window still being open, so players could still leave.
