New Deal For Morrison

Top of the SPFL side Hearts have given teenage winger Callumn Morrison (is that really how his parents spelt it? How on earth did they come up with that spelling? What is the point in the N on the end? Even google asked if I was sure I didn't mean Callum) a new 3 year contract as they celebrate winning their first 5 fixtures. The 19 year old has been a regular so far this season after spells on loan to Stirling Albion and Brechin City in previous seasons.

EFA Block Coulibaly Move

Not content with picking a fight with their star player Mohamed Salah and making threats against his family, the Egyptian FA have now decided to be arses with Scottish football team Partick Thistle. Thistle had requested an international transfer certificate from the EFA for Souleymane Coulibaly, who they signed from Al Ahly. With FIFA laws stating a response must be provided within 7 days, the EFA waited 14 before rejecting the request. The Scottish FA have now asked FIFA to overturn the rejection from the EFA. The EFA have been given until Friday to provide additional information to FIFA, so they will now doubt provide something at some point in December instead. A Thistle statement read: "Souleymane is understandably once again frustrated by the whole process. Both the club and the Scottish FA have compiled submissions to back Souleymane's case against the refusal. The current contractual provision in place means the club is not required to make any financial outlay to Souleymane until his registration is approved. The club remains hopeful that a positive outcome will be achieved and will continue to update supporters on the process as and when there is any progression."

Lampard Accepts FA Charge

Derby County manager Frank Lampard has accepted a charge of improper conduct from the FA. The 40 year old rookie manager was sent to the stands after arguing with officials over a handball decision, which saw his midfielder Tom Lawrence shown a red card and a penalty awarded against his team.

53 More (Yes More) Ghanaian Referees Banned In Bribery Scandal

The Referees Association of Ghana have handed out another 53 bans after an investigation into bribery, adding to the 8 bans already given by the Confederation of African Football. 6 were given lifetime bans, to bring the total banned for life to 8, and 47 were banned for 10 years, bringing the total to 53. 14 referees were exonerated. In a statement RAG said those facing lifetime bans "were found culpable for seriously breaching various portions of Disciplinary Code, Code of the Ethics and Regulations of the football controlling bodies by their actions and inactions."

Perez Denies Refusing To Come On As Sub

West Ham United's first win of the season, a 3-1 victory over Everton, had been marred by suggestions that summer signing Lucas Perez had refused to come on as a substitute when Marko Arnautovic picked up an injury. Manager Manuel Pellegrini rejected the allegation after the match and now Perez himself, obviously fed up of the accusation, has also denied any refusal on his behalf. Perez said on social media: "I have never ever refused to warm up in my whole career, let alone play a match. In the moment Marko got injured, I was on the bench after warming up. The coach [Pellegrini] called me to go out and play - however, having realised that it was faster to substitute Antonio in, who at that moment was warming up, he changed his decision. The images that have been misinterpreted correspond to a talk with the goalkeeper's coach, in which I never refused to warm up and explained what happened."

Chelsea's Midfield Machine Shows His Human Side

N'Golo Kante may play football like a some kind of Terminator with the ability to replicate himself all over the pitch, but off the pitch he is known for being a quiet, shy person. The 27 year old missed his train to France on Saturday, after the Chelsea win over Cardiff City and visited a local mosque afterwards, which he found on maps. An Arsenal fan who spotted him there invited him round to his house for food and found himself and his friends spending the evening playing FIFA and watching Match of the Day with probably the best midfielder in the world. Chelsea summed it up with just 3 words: "That's typical N'Golo."

Hammers Shock As Wilshere Out With Ankle Injury

The shock being that former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere managed to complete 3 games before picking up an ankle injury, which is 2 more than expected. He is now expected to miss 6 weeks before, no doubt, coming back for a couple of weeks and ending up missing the rest of the season. He has to be the most pointless signing of the summer, not only is he injury prone, he is everything that the Hammers did not need in midfield.

Transfers

Former Leeds United striker Habib Habibou has found a new club. The free agent has agreed a deal with Maccabi Petah Tikva.

The magnificently monikered Lionn has signed for Portugese side Chaves. Now that is what you call a Brazilian name, not bloody Fred!

Infantino Sets Himself Against La Liga In USA Plan

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has stated his mild opposition to La Liga's plan to play one league match in the USA this season. FIFA released a statement to ESPN which read: "I think I would prefer to see a great MLS game in the U.S. rather than La Liga being in the U.S.. In football, the general principle is that you play a 'home' match at 'home', and not in a foreign country." La Liga president Javier Tebas's response showed his ignorance as he said: "I will remind the president of FIFA that in the MLS three teams from Canada play and Toronto FC are the current champions, and in Canada there is a professional league." Obviously Tebas, being too busy picking fights and insulting everyone outside Spain, has not noticed that the Canadian teams play their home matches in Canada ie 'at home'.
