Little Retires At 29 Years Old

Former Rangers utility man Andrew Little has retired from professional football after an injury hit spell following him leaving Rangers. The 29 year old has 9 caps for his country, Northern Ireland, and was on the books of Dumbarton this season, prior to the announcement. Little said: "After a lot of thought I have decided to retire from football. I've had an extremely frustrating four and a half years since I left Glasgow Rangers - I've had injury after injury, countless scans and gone to considerable effort and expense trying to give myself the best chance of succeeding again. Among my highlights were playing for Glasgow Rangers, a club I still feel so much a part of, scoring in an Old Firm match and finishing as top goal-scorer for the club in the Third Division. Making my debut for Northern Ireland at Windsor Park, replacing David Healy, with my parents in the stands and my brother presenting in the studio was also an incredible moment for me. After 12 years of playing professionally I hope I've made the right choice. It feels like a massive relief just now and I'm ready to focus on new things."

Brechin Turn To Smith

Hearts And Hibs Face SFA Charge

Hearts and Hibernian face a hearing on 15th November over a confrontation between players on the two teams, completely unrelated to the coin which hit Hibs manager Neil Lennon or the punch alleged to have hit Hearts goalkeeper Zdenek Zlamal when he bent down to retrieve the ball near the Hibs fans.

La Liga Accuse PSG And Man City Of Cheating

Chief communications officer of La Liga, Joris Evers, has told the BBC that they will complain to European Union competition authorities if UEFA fail to take action against Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City. Evers said: "The Football Leaks documents appear to confirm what we have been saying for years. Both PSG and Manchester City are cheating and should be sanctioned. We certainly hope Uefa will take the right decisions and enforce Financial Fair Play rules, but we don't have full confidence that they will. Should Uefa fail to act, we will do what we have said before: launch a complaint with European Union competition authorities."
