However, if our problems cannot be solved by March when we submit our accounts to the EFL, another soft embargo is inevitable. This will become a full embargo if again the problems cannot be solved at the end of the financial year." Monaco Say Chelsea Want Permanent Deal For Batman

Monaco's vice president Vadim Vasilyev has claimed that the French club has reached agreement with Michy Batshuayi and Valencia over a move for the Belgian striker. He claims the hold up over a transfer for the striker is his parent club Chelsea, who want to move the forward on a permanent deal, rather than a loan deal. Vasilyev told reporters: "We are happy with our transfer window so far. It's true that a striker could help the team. We're just looking to good opportunities on the market. Batshuayi? We have an agreement with the player and with Valencia but not with Chelsea. They want a [permanent] transfer. Everything could go very quickly in football so we'll see."

Monaco Set To Invest In New Facilities

Monaco may be struggling in Ligue 1 currently, but president Dmitry Rybolovlev has confirmed that the club are set to invest tens of millions into a new 'Centre for Sporting Excellence'. The centre is to feature three football pitches, a gyn and a medical centre. The club are also set to renovate premium boxes at their home stadium and a dormitory for youth players will also be built. Rybolovlev released a statement which read: "I am absolutely committed to making every effort to continue to take this Club forward over the long term. We have already invested EUR 335 million in ASM, and the Club has started to make profits, which it is now able to reinvest in further development. Rumours about a potential change of ownership at the Club have been repeatedly denied. I believe that the projects presented today speak best about our long-term commitment to ASM."
