Contracts

Barnsley forward Cauley Woodrow has signed a 3 year contract with the Tykes.

Manchester United have triggered a 1 year option on Paul Pogba's contract, taking it until 2022.

Burnley winger Dwight McNeil has signed a new 4 year deal with an option for a further year.

 

Transfers

League Two side Newport County have signed three on loan until January. Jamie Devitt arrives from Blackpool, Aaron Lewis from Lincoln City and Jamie Proctor from Rotherham United.

Free agent duo Brice Ntambwe and Laurence Bilboe have signed for Oldham Athletic on a one year deal. Arsenal defender Harry Clarke has arrived on loan until January.

A pair of young strikers have signed for Walsall. Jake Scrimshaw has joined from Bournemouth and Adan George from Birmingham City.

Teenage forward Micah Obiero has signed for Carlisle United on loan from Huddersfield Town until January.

League Two Salford City have taken teenage defender Di'Shon Bernard on loan until January from Manchester United.

Birmingham City forward Odin Bailey has returned to Forest Green Rovers on loan until January. The 20 year old was with the vegan club last season on loan.

Jake Hesketh has joined Crawley Town on loan from Southampton for the season.

Another to leave Birmingham on loan is former Manchester United forward Jayden Reid on loan to Barrow.

Nottingham Forest striker Virgil Gomis has signed for Grimsby Town on loan for the season.

Ben Coker's loan move from Lincoln City to Stevenage has been made permanent on a free transfer. Stevenage have also signed Queens Park Rangers forward Aramide Oteh on a season-long loan.

Cardiff City have paid an undisclosed fee for Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Dillon Phillips.

Young Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Niall Ennis has joined Burton Albion on loan for the season. Also leaving Wolves on a season-long loan is Dion Sanderson, who has joined Sunderland.

MK Dons have re-signed two players they had on loan last season. Stephen Walker returns from Middlesbrough for another loan spell, while Andrew Fisher joins on a free transfer from Blackburn Rovers.

Charlton Athletic have taken Northern Ireland international Paul Smyth on loan from QPR and Andrew Shinnie has also joined from Luton Town. Both players are on season-long loan deals.

Wigan Athletic have released defender Nathan Cameron. Joining the Latics is Swindon Town midfielder Matty Palmer on loan until January.

Veteran former Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew has signed for Fleetwood Town on loan for the season from Blackburn Rovers. Everton youngster Callum Connolly has also joined Fleetwood for the season.

Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn has joined Blackpool on loan until January. The Tangerines have also added free agent midfielder Kenny Dougall to their ranks on a free transfer following his release from Barnsley.

Josh Sims has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan until January from Southampton. Manchester City have loaned Matt Smith to Doncaster for the season as well.

QPR winger Olamide Shodipo has signed for Oxford United on loan for the season.

Fulham forward Timmy Abraham, the younger brother of Chelsea striker Tammy, has signed for Plymouth Argyle on loan until January. The teenager nearly joined a Bundesliga side during the international window but time ran out before the deal could be completed.

Nottingham Forest have taken Fulham winger Anthony Knockaert on loan until January.

Liverpool winger Harry Wilson has joined Cardiff City on loan for the season. The Bluebirds have paid a £1.17m loan fee.

Tottenham Hotspur's American defender Cameron Carter-VIckers has joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan deal.

Swansea City have added four players to their squad. Ryan Bennett has signed on a free transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers, though they will be required to pay a fee if they achieve promotion with him in their squad. Joel Latibeaudiere has been signed on a free transfer from Manchester City. Kasey Palmer is on loan from Bristol City, while £250,000 was paid to sign Ryan Manning from QPR.

West Bromwich Albion striker Kenneth Zohore has joined Millwall on loan until January.

Derby County forward Jack Marriott and Cardiff City defender Aden Flint have signed for Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the season.

Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott, Leeds United left-back Barry Douglas and Norwich City midfielder Tom Trybull have signed for Blackburn Rovers on loan for the season. Rovers have also paid an undisclosed fee for Middlesbrough goalkeeper Aynsley Pears.

Barnsley have paid £1.25m to sign Liverpool midfielder Herbie Kane. Liverpool retain a 15% sell-on clause. Leicester City midfielder Matty James has also joined on loan until January.

MK Dons forward Sam Nombe has joined Luton Town on a season-long loan with "intent and option" for a permanent deal. Midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has joined Luton on loan for the season from Leicester City.

Fulham have signed Dutch centre-back Terence Kongolo from Huddersfield Town for a fee of £4m.

Crystal Palace have paid £1m for Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland. Joining the Potters to replace him is Angus Gunn on a season-long loan from Southampton.

Chelsea's Jake Clarke-Salter has joined Birmingham City on loan.

Former Manchester City and West Ham United full-back Pablo Zabaleta has retired from playing at the age of 35.

Welsh international defender Joe Rodon has signed for Tottenham Hotspur for £11m + future add-ons from Swansea City.

West Ham United have completed the signing of Algeria winger Said Benrahma for a fee that could rise up to £30m from Brentford.

Brett Levis has returned to Canadian Premier League side Valour FC on loan for the season from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.

Former Burnley midfielder Steven Defour has ended his time as a free agent by returning to the club of his youth KV Mechelen in Belgium.

RB Salzburg have signed teenage American midfielder Brenden Aaronson from Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union for a fee believed to be around £5m.

 


Injury Round-Up

Newport County will be without youngster Lewis Collins for a few weeks after he damaged ankle ligaments. The striker was making his Wales Under-21 debut when he picked up the injury.

Norwich City's Cuban midfielder Onel Hernandez has undergone surgery on an adductor injury that will keep the 27 year old out of action for at least 10 weeks.

New Fulham signing, Danish defender Joachim Andersen, has been ruled out for a number of weeks with an ankle problem.

Kevin De Bruyne is ruled out of Manchester City's game against Arsenal with a minor injury, according to City manager Pep Guardiola.

 


Managerial Changes

Steven Reid and Nick Colgan have joined Nottingham Forest as assistants to new head coach Chris Hughton.
