Contracts

Jonathan Hogg has agreed a new deal with Huddersfield Town which runs until 2023.

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita has signed a contract extension tying him to the club until 2023, with the option for a further year.

Transfers

Birmingham City striker Josh Andrews has joined Harrogate Town on loan.

Mustapha Olagunju has signed for Port Vale on loan from Huddersfield Town. Also joining him on loan at Vale is Nottingham Forest youngster Will Swann.

Oldham Athletic have signed Serhat Tasdemir on loan from Peterborough United.

Brentford winger Joe Adams has joined Grimsby Town on loan. Also joined Grimsby is returning striker Lenell John-Lewis for an undisclosed fee from Hereford United and Sheffield United goalkeeper Jake Eastwood on loan.

Coventry City defender Declan Drysdale and West Ham United centre-back Aji Alese have both signed on loan for Cambridge United.

Bolton Wanderers have signed three. Blackpool midfielder MJ Williams has joined on a free transfer. West Ham striker Oladapo Afolayan and Burnley keeper Lukas Jensen have both agreed loan deals.

Scunthorpe United have turned George Taft's loan from Bolton into a permanent transfer for free.

Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Jamie Pardington will spend the rest of the season on loan with Mansfield Town.

Bradford City have paid an undisclosed fee to sign Charles Vernam from Burton Albion. Bradford have also released Tyler French and Dylan Mottley-Henry.

Exeter City have taken Newport County midfielder Robbie Willmott on loan.

Charlton Athletic midfielder Brendan Wiredu has returned to Colchester United for an undisclosed fee. Frank Nouble has also returned to the Spireites on loan from Plymouth Argyle.

Newport County have allowed striker Tristan Abrahams to sign on loan for former club Leyton Orient.

Wigan Athletic have signed Rotherham United striker Jamie Proctor and Plymouth defender Scott Wootton on loan. The Latics have also re-signed winger Viv Solomon-Otabor after being given special dispensation to make the signing by the EFL. Wigan are in administration and a transfer embargo but were allowed to sign Solomon-Otabor after losing a couple of players to injury.

Ipswich Town have taken Tottenham Hotspur's Troy Parrott and Wolves right-back Luke Matheson on loan.

Burton Albion have paid an undisclosed fee for Wolves midfielder Terry Taylor. They have also signed Preston North End defender Josh Earl and Peterborough United midfielder Ryan Broom on loan.

Southport midfielder David Morgan has moved to Accrington Stanley for an undisclosed fee. Burnley midfielder Adam Phillips has also moved to Stanley on loan.

Blackburn Rovers defender Joe Grayson has joined Oxford United on loan.

Rochdale have snapped up Conor Shaugnessy on a free transfer after the 24 year old was released by Leeds United.

Following his release from Vitesse Arnhem, Max Clark has re-signed for Hull City. Leaving Hull is winger Martin Samuelsen, who is going to Aalborg BK on loan.

Arsenal midfielder Matt Smith has been recalled from a season-long loan to Swindon Town and sent to Charlton Athletic for the rest of the season instead.

Manchester United youngster Teden Mengi has signed for Derby County on loan.

US international forward Daryl Dike has signed for Barnsley on loan with an option to buy from Major League Soccer's Orlando City. The 20 year old was MLS Rookie of the Year in 2020 and made his USA debut on Monday.

Veteran striker Glenn Murray has signed on loan for Nottingham Forest from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Free agent former Aston Villa goalkeeper Orjan Nyland has signed for Norwich City.

Derby County have sold midfielder/defender George Evans to Millwall for an undisclosed fee.

West Ham United's New Zealand international defender Winston Reid has signed for Brentford on loan.

Blackburn Rovers have agreed a deal to sign defender Harry Pickering from Crewe Alexandra but for the 22 year old to stay with Crewe for the rest of the season. Joining Rovers immediately is Manchester City's Taylor Harwood-Bellis on loan.

Scottish under-23 international Fraser Hornby has joined Aberdeen on loan from Stade Reims.

Following his release from Norwich City Charlie Gilmour has signed for St Johnstone.

Everton striker Cenk Tosun has returned to Besiktas on loan. Danish goalkeeper Jonas Lossl has left Everton to re-sign for his first club FC Midtyjylland.

Liverpool have signed centre-back Ben Davies from Preston North End for a fee starting at £500,000 with add-ons which could take the deal up to around £2m. There is also a 20% sell-on clause on any future profit Liverpool may make on the 25 year old. Dutch defender Sepp van der Berg has moved the other way on loan.

Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Ecuadorian international midfielder Moises Caicedo from Independiente del Valle for £4m.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll has come out of retirement at the age of 43 to play for Irish League club Dungannon Swifts.

Managerial Changes

Jonathan Woodgate has been brought in to replace Graeme Jones as Bournemouth first-team coach. Jones left to take up a role at Newcastle United last month, while Woodgate was available after being sacked by Middlesbrough in June.

Disciplinary Charges

Morecambe's Yann Songo'o is facing an investigation by the Football Association. Songo'o was sent off against Tranmere Rovers for using foul and abusive language, which included an alleged homophobic comment. A Morecambe statement regarding the incident read: "Morecambe Football Club would like to stress that it abhors abuse of any sort, be it be on the grounds of race, colour, religion, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, age, disability or sexual orientation. We are awaiting the final report on Saturday's match against Tranmere Rovers before making any specific comment on the incident. A further statement will follow when we have received that report."

Rangers' striker Alfredo Morelos has received a 3 match ban for a stamp on Hibernian's Ryan Porteous.
