Atlanta United have taken Aberdeen full-back Ronald Hernandez for the forthcoming Major League Soccer season.

Ryan Shawcross has left Stoke City after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

Atlanta United have loaned Argentine centre-back Fernando Meza to Defensa y Justicia.

 


Injury Round-Up

Teenage Peterborough United defender Bobby Copping has had to retire from playing at the age of just 19 due to a recurring head injury. Copping will stay with the club in a business operations role with the academy.

Watford captain Troy Deeney has been ruled out for an unknown amount of time after he suffered an Achilles injury. The Hornets are to give him another scan in two weeks to assess the problem.

Sheffield United have lost defender John Egan for 8 weeks with a dislocated toe. The Republic of Ireland international is to have surgery on the problem.

 


Managerial Changes

Sunderland chief executive Jim Rodwell has stepped down from the post following the completion of the takeover by Kyril Louis-Dreyfus. Louis-Dreyfus has taken over as chairman of the Mackems.

Rochdale chairman Andrew Kilpatrick has stepped down for personal reasons.

 


Disciplinary Charges

Referee Darren Drysdale has been charge with improper conduct over his actions in the Ipswich Town against Northampton Town League One game. The 49 year old squared up to Ipswich midfielder Alan Judge, before putting his head into Judge's head. Drysdale has been dropped from the officials' list until the case is heard.

Accrington Stanley and Northampton Town have been fined £2,500 each following a melee at the end of their League One game earlier this month.

Middlesbrough have successfully appealed against the red card shown to their defender Paddy McNair on Tuesday as Boro beat Huddersfield Town.

Malian duo Mohamed Camara and Sekou Koita have been banned for three-months each after they tested positive for a banned substance. The pair are on the books of Red Bull Salzburg.
