Contracts

Rotherham United have given striker Joshua Kayode a new 3 year contract. Club captain Richard Wood has triggered an option to extend his deal with the Championship side for a further year.

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has denied there is any truth in reports he is set to sign a new 2 year deal.

Transfers

Ipswich Town's Alan Judge will not play again this season due to a clause in his contract which would automatically trigger a 12-month extension to his contract if he played once more. Judge will now be leaving on a free at the end of the season.

Argentine winger Matias Pellegrini has joined Fort Lauderdale on loan from Inter Miami.

Free agent full-back Andy Najar has signed for DC United.

Former Hull City striker Abel Hernandez has joined Fluminese from Internacional on a free transfer.

Former Manchester United winger Zoran Tosic has moved to Tobol Kostanay from Taizhou Yuanda.

Injury Round-Up

Sheffield United's Scotland striker Oli McBurnie has joined club captain Billy Sharp on the sidelines for the rest of the season. McBurnie suffered a fractured metatarsal during the defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.

Arsenal's Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been in hospital this week recovering from malaria he picked up in March on international duty.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore has contracted pneumonia and has blood clots on the lungs. The 46-year-old had just returned from isolation after having CV when he began to feel unwell.

Scotland will be without Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack for the Euros in the summer as the 29-year-old is having treatment in an attempt to cure a persistent calf problem. Jack has been ruled out until the start of pre-season training.

Fulham defender Terence Kongolo's season has come to an end after he was ruled out for up to three months. The 27-year-old will need surgery on a knee injury he suffered in the defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Managerial Changes

Aidy Boothroyd is leaving his role as England Under-21 manager after they dropped out of the European Championship at the group stage.

Disciplinary Charges

Grimsby Town manager Paul Hurst has said that midfielder Filipe Morais and forward Stefan Payne will not play for the club again after an incident between the two on Saturday during the 1-0 defeat to Bradford City. Payne was sent off for headbutting his teammate Morais just before half-time.

After criticising referee Don Robertson, St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin has been banned for two matches plus a further game suspended.

Simon Steps Up Again

Nigerian international forward Moses Simon has once again come to the aid of his home community of Obagaji Agatu. The Nantes striker paid for the building of water pumps in the village in September to end a reliance on a stream for drinking water. He has now come forward again to put his money where his mouth is and finance the installation of a drainage system and construction of a road to help tackle flooding in the area. Simon told the BBC: "It's important to step in where the politicians have decided not to help. Imagine in 2021 we are talking of people without potable water and desperately praying for protection ahead of the rains and floods. These people deserve more from the government because they put all their trust in them only to be disappointed. As sports people we can all do more to make our people happy, some are already doing and very supportive of their community but we can't stop." This is just some of a number of charitable works the 25-year-old has funded, including helping out with his own money for those families hit hardest by the lockdown and the financial hardships it has caused.
