Swindon Town have signed teenage striker Tyreece Simpson from Ipswich Town on a season-long loan deal.

Gavin Whyte has returned to Oxford United on a season-long loan from Cardiff City.

Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sign Jamaican international winger Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen.

Scottish midfielder Ryan Gauld has joined Vancouver Whitecaps for a fee of £270,000 from Farense.

Rayo Vallecano have sold Luis Advincula to Boca Juniors for £1.8m.

1.FSV Mainz 05 have paid £3.15m for Anton Stach from Greuther Furth.

£3.15m was also enough to see Mama Bale join Troyes from Dijon.

Atalanta have paid £7.2m for Matteo Lovato from Hellas Verona.

Leeds United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson from Valerenga.

Burgos have signed Jose Matos from Cadiz on a free transfer.

Brandon Austin has returned to Tottenham Hotspur after the end of his loan spell without Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer.

Injury Round-Up

Brighton & Hove Albion expect to be without Danny Welbeck for the start of the season due to a hamstring injury.

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman has picked up a knock in a friendly against Napoli, just nine minutes into his first game after returning from the European Championships.

Christian Eriksen will be out for at least 6 months following his cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark against Finland in the European Championships. It is believed it will be at least 6 months before the Inter Milan attacker will be able to have his defibrillator removed, with Serie A rules not allowing players to play with a defibrillator.

A partial tear of the cruciate ligament is expected to keep Barrow midfielder Tom Beadling out of action for 2 months.

 


Managerial Changes

Michael Flynn has chosen to stay as manager of Newport County. Flynn was considering his future after Newport's loss in the League Two promotion play-off final.

 


Disciplinary Charges

Kenya have suspended 5 referees over allegations of match fixing and manipulation of league results. Two of the suspended officials were only dropped from FIFA's list of referees at the start of the season due to the pair failing fitness tests.
