Contracts

Rangers' Finnish international midfielder Glen Kamara has signed a new deal which expires in 2025.

Celtic captain Callum McGregor has signed a 5-year contract.

Transfers

Luton Town have signed free agent midfielder Elliot Thorpe who was released by Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Free agent former Leeds United winger Hadi Sacko has signed for CFR Cluj of the Romanian league.

Former Manchester City youngster Jack Byrne has been released by APOEL Nicosia.

Former Watford left back Jose Cholevas has signed for Bayern Alzenau from Olympiacos.

M'Baye Niang has signed for Girondins Bordeaux on a free transfer from Stade Rennais.

Free agent former Chelsea youngster Miroslav Stoch has joined Slovan Liberec.

Injury Round-Up

Rnagers' former Liverpool winger Ryan Kent has been ruled out for up to 4 weeks. Though there is better news for Scotland midfielder Ryan Jack, who Rangers' manager Steven Gerrard said would be back in training in "a couple of weeks".

Managerial Changes

Ghana have once again turned to Milovan Rajevac to lead their national team. The 67-year-old led the African nation to the 2010 World Cup quarter-finals in a previous spell in charge.

Paulo Fonseca has confirmed that he was set to be Tottenham Hotspur's new manager in the summer before Fabio Paratici joined the club. Paratici had his eyes on a more defensive-minded coach.

Disciplinary Charges

Police are investigating after Rhys Williams, currently on loan at Swansea City from Liverpool, was allegedly racially abused by a Luton Town fan. A Luton statement read: "Luton Town abhors racism and with our stadium situated in one of the most racially and culturally diverse areas of the country, we are proud of our historical record in fighting it. The club has, and always will have, a zero tolerance policy on discrimination of any kind. It is not acceptable towards anyone in football or wider society, either online or in person, and we will continue to work with the Police with their enquiries in this matter. We are also offering Rhys and Swansea our full support. Any person found to have made discriminatory comments will have the strictest sanctions imposed by the club, and will not be welcome back at Kenilworth Road."

Dundee's former Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths is facing sanctions after kicking a smoke bomb into the crowd. The pyrotechnic device had been thrown onto the pitch by fans and Griffiths claims to have been trying to just get it off the pitch so the match could restart quickly after his team conceded a goal.

Derby Likely To Survive

The administrators of Derby County, a business advisory company called Quantuma, have said that they believe the Rams have a 95% chance of survival, despite Wayne Rooney's pledge to stay on as manager. They also revealed that there are six potential buyers for the troubled club.

Ole Blames Klopp

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that he believes his side are not getting penalties due to comments made by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. Klopp had said in January: "I hear now that Manchester United had more penalties in two years than I had in five and a half years." Solksjaer has responded, 8 months later, with: "There was a certain manager last year who was starting to worry about us getting penalties. After that, it seems like the decisions are more difficult to give. Surely I've seen a big, big difference since then on. But we just have to leave it up to the refs and hope that they will make the right calls very soon."
