Contracts

Bayern Munich full-back Josip Stanisic has extended his contract until 2025.

Teenage Spanish midfielder Pedri has signed a new deal with Barcelona which runs until 2026 and has a club option for a further 2 years. The deal also has a 1bn euro release clause.

Transfers

Australian A-League club Western United have signed Aleksandar Prijovic on a free transfer from Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League.

Veteran goalkeeper Antonio Mirante has signed for AC Milan. The 38-year-old was a free agent after being released by AS Roma in the summer.

Free agent goalkeeper Mark Howard has signed for Carlisle United on a short-term contract which ends in January.

Injury Round-Up

Dundee United will be without striker Marc McNulty for the next two and a half months as the 29-year-old has undergone hamstring surgery.

Burnley will be missing captain Ben Mee against his former club Manchester City after he tested positive for CV.

Manchester City will be missing Ferran Torres for four to six weeks after the forward fractured his right foot on international duty with Spain.

Liverpool have sent Brazilian duo Alisson Becker and Fabinho to Spain to complete their quarantine period, in the hope they will be ready to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Managerial Changes

Honduras have terminated the contract of their national team coach Fabian Coito after suffering their first ever defeat at the hands of Jamaica, despite the Reggae Boyz missing several key players. Honduras sit bottom of their World Cup qualifying group.

Disciplinary Charges

UEFA have decided against opening disciplinary proceedings against Sparta Prague for alleged racist incidents during their UEFA Europa League group stage match against Rangers.

Manchester United's appeal against Aaron Wan-Bissaka's punishment for a sending off against Young Boys in the Champions League has been upheld. The right-back will now only be suspended for one UEFA match for "rough play".

Lincoln City and Plymouth Argyle have both been fined for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion. A controversial late penalty to Lincoln caused tempers to flare and Lincoln have been fined £2,750, while Argyle have received a £2,500 fine.

Despite agreeing that racist abuse was aimed at Colchester United goalkeeper Shamal George, neither police nor Barrow are to act because of "insufficient evidence". The club's CEO, Levi Gill, while saying that he is "convinced that the abuse occurred" said: "Unfortunately, some of the anonymous information received was conflicting and, while CCTV footage shows clearly who is stood in a particular area of the ground, it can't show 'who said what. Having discussed the findings of the investigation with Rickie Wallbank [police liaison officer], the owners and I also felt that there wasn't enough certainty around who was responsible for us to issue a ban and potentially penalise an innocent party."

Dundee United midfielder Jeando Fuchs allegations of racist abuse aimed at him have been dismissed by the SPFL: "After reviewing the match delegate's report and information provided by Ross County and Dundee United, the SPFL has concluded there is insufficient evidence for any action to be taken by the SPFL against Ross County on this matter."

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has been charged by the Football Association over comments he made following his side's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea. An FA statement read: "It is alleged that comments made by the manager during two post-match interviews constitute improper conduct in that they questioned the integrity of the VAR match official and/or implied bias and/or bring the game into disrepute."
