Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix has told Marca that he will not be moving this summer.

Injury Round Up

Heart of Midlothian have been boosted by the news that Craig Halkett should be ready for the new season after having surgery over the summer.

Edinburgh rivals Hibernian will have to wait a bit longer to get Kevin Nisbet back but the Scotland international, who has been out injured since February, is stepping up his fitness regime and preparing to begin running once more. The 25-year-old picked up an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury against Celtic.

Borussia Dortmund will be likely to have to make do without Gio Reyna at the beginning of the season as he is not returning to training with the rest of the squad. Reyna suffered a few injury problems last season which limited him to just 12 appearances.

Job Changes

Liam Rosenior has been put in caretaker charge of Derby County's 'team'.

Petr Cech has become the latest executive from the Roman Abramovic era to leave Chelsea. Cech, who was technical and performance advisor with a sideline as an ice hockey goaltender, has left despite being asked to stay on by the new ownership group.

Brentford have created a new role entitled Director of Elite Performance and appointed former rugby union player and coach Ben Ryan to fill it. Ryan was coach of England's rugby sevens for 6 years and was also in charge of Fiji's Olympic Gold medal winning sevens team in 2016.

Cheltenham Town have appointed Wade Elliott as their new head coach. Elliott has stepped up from a job as a first team coach at the club having rejected an offer to go with the former boss Michael Duff to Barnsley.

Rams Bid Accepted

David Clowes bid for Derby County has been accepted and he has announced his intention to take the club out of administration by the weekend. Clowes has already bought the club's Pride Park stadium and loaned them the money to begin the season. It is believed that his bid meets the criteria to prevent further points deductions, meaning all football creditors will be paid in full.
