Football News: Players Liverpool FC Should Keep Or Sell

Players Liverpool FC Should Keep Or Sell

Probably going to ruffel a few feathers here, but here's my tuppence worth on the squad keep or sell and what's needed going forward:

Alisson :- World class good for years to come would never contemplate selling. Keep 100%.

Kelleher :- Good keeper but have to sell have replacement ready in Giorgi Mamardashvili Sell.

Trent :- As good as gone, hope I'm wrong but will need replacing. Gone.

Bradley :- Bags of potential but I don't think we can expect to go a whole season with him as 1st choice due to injuries we need quality RB if and when Trent goes. Keep.

Gomez :- Solid player but always injured, no good to squad when you miss 3/ 4 of the season time to move on and will be replaced with a utility type defender who can play across the back 4. Sell.

Konate :- A Beast of a player but prone to stupid mistakes, sometimes I think he's Lovern in disguise but solid most of the time hopefully signs a new contract. Keep.

Virgil :- Glue that holds the back 4 together thankfully we have him for another 2 yrs prone to the odd mistake but he is human after all another world class player we are lucky to have. Keep.

Quansah :- Tough one this, confidence is everything his is pretty low, don't think Slot rates him so I think he might possibly be sold but if we sell Gomez then we will need to buy another CB and we ain't buying 2 next season so it's between him and Gomez. Keep - 50/50.

Robertson :- Legs are gone but loves the club great leader and someone who a replacement LB could learn a lot from, be great player to bring on for last 20/ 25 mins if needed and with Trent probably going I'd say he stays. Keep.

Tsimikas :- Another tough one was solid again yesterday without being amazing, always does a job for us when needed, but alias there is a slight drop off in the quality that's needed if we are to remain at the top teir. I think he will move on with a new LB incoming. Sell.

Gravenberch :- Been outstanding this season personally I think he's right up there for our player of the year, carrys that midfield when those around him are faultering but needs help in there big time or will be burnt out in a few seasons. Keep.

McAllister :- On his day is world class but when he's off it he's off it. I still think he should be playing higher up the pitch to get the best out of him maybe a new CM in the team will allow this to happen. Keep.

Szoboszlai :- Started the season like a house on fire but has had little or no effect on games recently could be a positional thing or burnt out, has bags of potential and a good engine but needs to work harder especially when tackling and shooting maybe a new addition and more competition to midfield would help him up his game to the start of the season standards. Keep.

Jones :- Local lad would die for the club but not good enough to hold down 1st team place imo. Holds onto the ball way too much and either loses it or doesn't pick out the correct pass, great lad I really like him a good squad player and one of our own so I'd say he stays. Keep.

Endo :- Something that's needed badly in our team sometimes "real steal" we need a player like him but younger, unfortunately Slot doesn't rate him so he will be moved on and hopefully a similar style but younger player will be bought. Sell.

Elliott :- If he was 6 inches taller and a bit quicker he'd be one he'll of a player, hasn't been given the minutes that he has deserved imo, great creativity something our other midfielders lack can change games and tempo when introduced unfortunately not solid enough for a starting berth in the 1st 11 but another great squad player to have but needs more minutes. Keep.

Diaz :- Works extremely hard for the team our only forward player who can take on defences but sometimes there is no end product been linked with Barcelona a lot but he is one I'd keep unless we get an offer we can't refuse. Keep.

Jota :- Fox in the box and great finisher but always injured and link up play and passing are sometimes abysmal, has scored some crucial goals for us but not enough imo time to move him on. Sell.

Nunez :- He's like marmite you either love him or hate him, there is no questioning his work ethic for the team but he was bought for a lot of money to score goals and has been given so many chances and for some reason it just hasn't worked out, will probably excell in a different league but it's time to move on. Sell.

Gapko :- Great in the 1st half of the season scoring important goals got injured and has failed to get back to the standards that he set earlier in the year but young, solid and ambitious. Keep.

Salah :- Another golden boot probably on the way and has signed up for another 2yrs world class on his day and invaluable to this team. Has a tendency to drop off for a period every season but with he's goals and assist ratios there isn't any team in the world that wouldn't want him, glad he's ours for another 2 yrs Egyptian King. Keep.

Cheisa :- Another I'm on the fence on, bought for an absolute steal but with his injury record it was a gamble which we still don't know has paid off, he was once world class before he's injuries and so it has took him time to get fit and get to grips with the pace of the premiership, there is a player there but hasn't been given the chances to show if he's good enough or not I personally think he will be sold for a profit and get the wage bill down one we will never really know about I'd imagine. Sell.

Everyone's opinion is different and I know not everyone will agree with the above, a lot will depend on how much we generate in sales or if anyone is interested in players we deem surplus to requirements. But depending on whether trent goes or stays it would appear we need a RB (possibly) a LB, a CB, a CM and possibly 2 forward players that's 5 to 6 quality players can't see that happening in one window but it is what's needed if we want to continue to be successful for years to come.

All the best.
