Football News: Suarez arrives in Australia

Controversial Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has arrived in Melbourne ahead of Liverpool's pre season sell out friendly in Melbourne on Wednesday.The striker was given extra time of due to his participation in the Confederations cup however it's understood that Suarez will not play a big part in the friendly fixture.

There where unsubstantiated rumours that Suarez would not arrive in Oz to force through a move away from the club.Suarez who has requested to leave Liverpool this summer will likely be on the bench for the match at the MCG with new Liverpool signing Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto impressing during the clubs pre seaon friendly's.

Suarez is wanted by many of Europe's top clubs with Liverpool confirming they have rejected a bid from English Rivals Arsenal for the star striker who is also attracting interest from Spanish giant Real Madrid who are readying a offer for the 26 year old Uruguayan international.

Liverpool have said they will do everything in there power to keep hold of Suarez however clubs could test there resolve with a bid in the region of £50 million pounds.The offer from Arsenal was said to be no where near the ammount Liverpool want however there are rumours Arsenal will make another bid this coming week.
