Daniel Farke Is Still The Right Man For Leeds United

Daniel Farke Is Still The Right Man For Leeds United

Leeds United supporters continue to debate Daniel Farke's position, but the bigger picture points to patience, realism and long-term planning under growing Premier League pressure.

Daniel Farke has taken a barrel load of flak, especially in the past few months in the Premier League, which in my opinion is a very unfair amount of flak considering with what he has to work with at Leeds United.

A lot of fans have also judged his past experiences with Norwich in the Premiership, which is also unfair in my opinion, as he had probably less quality to work with than he has now.

I know for a fact that the rest of this season, contrary to what others may think with the apparent transformation recently, that it's still going to be a relegation battle for our club.

We will lose more games than win, especially at away games. Farke has a massive battle as a coach to keep Leeds United in the Premier League and that should not be underestimated.

Farke, for me, has always been the right man for the job in our transition as a football club. If he does succeed in keeping us up, is he the right coach to take us onto the next step? That will be a discussion by the 49ers if or when that day arrives.

At the moment though, Daniel Farke is carrying his weight in the Premier League and has the ability to compete against some of the best teams in its league. So for me there is no question in my mind that he is the best man for the job at this moment in time.

The questions that should be raised by fans is can the 49ers employ the best people to take the club forward like Bloom has done for Brighton, ie, recruitment. The club will need a precise strategy with little to no room for errors. PSR has presented itself as a challenge to all clubs now, even to the ones that have avoided its laws are now having to conform. So spending will be closely scrutinized by the authorities.

For me, if the likes of Brighton and Bournemouth with their respectively small clubs can navigate their way through all this then Leeds United should make their very best efforts to simulate their successes.

The noise around the dugout often ignores the reality of a thin squad, injuries, weeks and limited room to manoeuvre.

I don't underestimate the difficulties of this task but I feel the 49ers are investing into Leeds United for the long term and hopefully, it's many future successes.
