Cardiff City v Burnley

Just as Burnley get back to winning ways with a Saturday fixture against Bournemouth, they are now back to Sunday action despite their Europa League elimination.
Whilst they're unbeaten in eight in the league on Saturday, they are without a win in nine on Sunday. The contrast is incredible really, how much difference one day appears to make to their form.
Here they play Cardiff, who, unlike Burnley after their huge win over Bournemouth last week, are yet to win a match this season, scoring a joint-low three goals and conceding a joint-high 14 in the Premier League so far this season.
The Bluebirds have lost four in a row in all competitions, and could lose five in succession for the first time since January 2004. That is something they will be desperate to avoid in what Neil Warnock will see as a winnable home game.
They have let in 15 goals in those four defeats, so defensively they have much to work on, even if three of those games have been against "big six" sides.
Their record against Burnley is a positive for them though - 13 without defeat against them in all competitions, although their manager Neil Warnock is winless in seven against the Clarets, last defeating them in 2008 as Crystal Palace boss.
I say he's winless in seven against them - but that doesn't tell the full story. He has never lost a home match against Burnley in 16 previous such matches. Quite a remarkable record really, with those matches spanning between October 1987 and September 2014.
Key players:
Danny Ward - As Cardiff's main striker, he's the man they will need to start firing if they are to earn their first win of the season today. He has three goals in his last five league games at the Cardiff City Stadium, and Warnock will hope that he can build on that today.
Ashley Barnes - Off the mark for the season with two goals last week, Barnes has three goals and an assist in his three previous league starts against Cardiff, and will be a danger for them again here as he looks to score in consecutive league appearances for the first time since April.
