Contracts

Teenage forward Antoine Semenyo has signed a 4 year contract with Bristol City. Another teenage forward, Saikou Janneh, has also agreed a new 4 year deal, with an option for a fifth year.

Spanish trio Michel, Roberto Coral and Kiko Olivas have signed new deals with Real Valladolid. Midfielder Michel has agreed a 1 year contract, while defenders Olivas and Coral will be there for another 3 years.

Ross County midfielder Josh Mullin has signed a 2 year deal.

Mansfield Town have signed Jacob Mellis up for another year.

Cagliari defender Luca Ceppitelli has agreed a two year contract extension.

Ghanaian winger Latif Blessing has signed an 18 month long contract with Los Angeles FC.

Transfers

Forest Green Rovers have made a double signing. Goalkeeper Adam Smith has joined on a free transfer after his release from Bristol Rovers and midfielder James Morton joins on a season long loan from Bristol City.

Queens Park Rangers keeper Matt Ingram has joined Hull City for an undisclosed fee.

Stoke City have signed five players. Defender Liam Lindsay cost £2m from Barnsley, while goalkeeper Adam Davies was free from the same club. Jordan Cousins, Nick Powell and Lee Gregory have all arrived on free transfers. Cousins was with QPR, Powell with Wigan Athletic and Gregory with Millwall before being released this summer.

Hibernian have spent more than £250,000 on striker Christian Doidge from Forest Green Rovers.

Former Manchester City youngster Greg Leigh has joined Aberdeen on loan from NAC Breda.

New Brisbane Roar manager Robbie Fowler has been sniffing around the English lower leagues to pick up three new signings. Striker Aaron Amadi-Holloway has joined from Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee. Tom Aldred has joined on a free transfer from Bury, while Macauley Gillesphey has moved on a free from Carlisle United.

Oldham Athletic have signed Gary Woods from Hamilton Academical.

Former Everton striker James Vaughan has joined Bradford City after being released by Wigan Athletic.

Nigerian striker Moses Ogbu has swapped the United Arab Emirates to move to Grimsby. The 28 year old forward has joined Grimsby Town from Al-Ain.

Rotherham United have paid a club-record fee (which is undisclosed) to sign striker Freddie Ladapo from Plymouth Argyle. Ladapo said: "It was a club that really spoke to me and they sold me a dream." A dream? Rotherham? I have heard it all now. That must be why there has been so much unrest at Paris Saint-Germain recently, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar obviously thought they could achieve their dream of turning out for the Millers. They will be gutted to have been beaten out by Ladapo....

Alex Fisher has signed for Exeter City from relegated Yeovil Town.

Following his release by Fulham, striker Elijah Adebayo has joined Walsall.

San Jose Earthquakes have signed Mexican winger Carlos Fierro from Cruz Azul.

Portugese midfielder Andre Gomes has completed his £22.5m move to Everton on a permanent deal from Barcelona. The 25 year old spent last season on loan with the Toffees.

Sampdoria have taken Argentine attacking midfielder Gonzalo Maroni on loan from Boca Juniors.

Pablo Martinez has made a free transfer move to Nimes Olympique from Racing Strasbourg.

Genclerbirligi have signed full-back Pierre-Yves Polomat from Saint-Etienne on a free transfer.

Toulouse have made a double loan signing to bolster their midfield. Jean-Victor Makengo has joined from OGC Nice, while William Vainqueur is loaned from Turkish side Antalyaspor.

Olympique Lyon have spent over £7m to sign young Brazilian midfielder Jean Lucas from Flamengo.

Arsenal have sent youngster Jordi Osei Tutu on loan to VfL Bochum.

Keeper's Wall Move Falls Through

A problem with Polish goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski's medical has seen a move to Millwall fall through. After Wall had agreed a fee with his club, Ipswich Town and personal terms were agreed, Bialkowski underwent a medical which discovered a complication with a long-standing knee injury. Millwall attempted to re-negotiate the deal but Ipswich have pulled out.

Celtic Dismiss Baggies Comments

After West Bromwich Albion's sporting director hit out at Neil Lennon's treatment of on-loan winger Oliver Burke after Lennon took over at Celtic as manager, Celtic have denied there were any issues between the pair. Celtic said: "West Brom have made no contact whatsoever with either Neil or the club in relation to Oliver. These comments, which question the professionalism of both Neil and Celtic, are ridiculous and completely inaccurate."

Seagulls Set To Sign Yet Another Winger

It seems like Brighton & Hove Albion sign 3 or 4 wingers every season and they are close to concluding a deal for yet another one this week. Genk's Leandro Trossard is set to be Graham Potter's second Brighton signing since he replaced Chris Hughton a couple of weeks ago.

Chelsea Given Permission To Speak To Lamps

Unsurprisingly Derby County have given Chelsea permission to speak to Frank Lampard about the vacant head coach's role at the London club. It has been an open secret since the season ended that he would be the choice to replace Maurizio Sarri, who is now manager at Juventus.

Turnbull Move Held Up

Teenage Scottish midfielder David Turnbull's move to Celtic from Motherwell is now in limbo after reports that problems had emerged in his medical. The two clubs are still holding talks, with it believed Celtic are no longer keen on paying the previously agreed fee of over £3m. Norwich City had also agreed to pay the fee Motherwell had asked, before Turnbull rejected their offer in favour of Celtic.

Silva To Leave City

Manchester City's Merlin the Magician, Spanish midfielder David Silva, is staying with the club for just one more season. The 33 year old playmaker is about to start his 10th season with the Mancunians and has confirmed it will be his final one and that he will not be signing another contract with them. Silva said: "Ten years for me is enough. It's the perfect time for me. Initially, City were talking about two years, but I decided to sign [for] another one, so I finished at 10 years. It completes the cycle. It's a nice round figure. I can never see myself playing against City for another team. So 10 years - that's it."

Defender Takes Down Tweet In Support Of Rafa

Argentinian defender Federico Fernandez has removed a tweet he posted up in support of Rafael Benitez, who is leaving the club at the end of the month. Fernandez tweeted: "Thanks Rafa. I think you and the staff deserve different way to end your time as a Newcastle manager. All the people around Newcastle love you. All the best for the future."
