Bury Face Points Deduction

Bury owner Steve Dale has put forward a CVA proposal to clear off some of the club's debts. In the proposal Dale has proposed paying off the football creditors in full, while unsecured creditors, including HMRC, will receive 25% of what they are due under the proposal. If accepted the deal would count as an insolvency event under English Football League rules and it could lead to the club being deducted 12 points. The club is due in court on 9th July to meet with creditors and agree a resolution as Dale admits that the financial troubles "turned out to be far in excess of what we could have comprehended".

Macc Face Third Court Appearance In As Many Months

Macclesfield Town are due in court for a third time in three months, despite settling their outstanding tax bill of £73,000. The case has instead been taken over by Egerton Youth Club, where the Silkmen used to train, who are still owed £20,000. They have been struggling with financial troubles which left players paid late in recent months, to the point they considered boycotting the final game of the season in protest. Despite their off-field problems Sol Campbell managed to keep them in the Football League last season.

Swans Add England Coach To Staff

England's goalkeeping coach Martyn Margetson is set to work with Swansea City as well as England next season. Margetson is not the only England staff number to follow new manager Steve Cooper to the Welsh club as England's performance coach David Tivey is leaving his FA post to work for the Swans.

Kearney Leaves St Mirren

After weeks of speculation St Mirren have finally confirmed that Oran Kearney has left the club, just 10 months after taking charge. St Mirren have now been through 10 managers in the last 10 years. Kearney stated on social media: "I am gutted. But, my time was up, that was crystal clear. I gave 100% commitment to the cause as I've done at any club I've been at as a player or manager. I am very proud of the job I did and the turnaround I made, just sad not to be seeing it through." He also went on to thank the staff and fans.

Hornets Suspend Miller Over Royal Ascot Brawl

Teenage Watford striker Reece Miller has been suspended and is under disciplinary investigation after video footage of the 18 year old brawling at Royal Ascot was seen. A Watford statement read: "As soon as the footage was brought to the club's attention, an immediate decision was taken to suspend the player. He will now face an inquiry with all disciplinary options available to the club."

Spurs Close On Clarke

Leeds United's teenage winger Jack Clarke is close to completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur. The 18 year old has travelled to take his medical ahead of him becoming the first player to sign for Spurs since Lucas Moura joined from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.

Warda Sent Home By Egypt

Egyptian midfielder Amr Warda has been kicked out of the AFCON squad for disciplinary reasons. The Egypt Football Federation said that the PAOK player was thrown out "to maintain discipline, commitment and concentration. The head of the Egyptian Football Federation, Hani Abu Reda, has decided to dismiss Amr Warda from the team's camp after consulting with the team's technical and administrative staff." It is believed that social media conversations between the 25 year old and many different women were released and the team's director, Ihab Leheta, revealed that he received videos of Amr Warda, though Warda denies being the person seen in the footage. Or at, more properly, Warda denies it is his bits seen in the footage with woman after woman after woman....

Benfica Claim £100m+ Offer For Felix

Portugese side Benfica have revealed that they are considering an offer of around £113m for teenage forward Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid. The offer exceeds the exciting attacker's release clause but Atleti have proposed to pay for the deal in instalments. It would still make it the 5th most expensive transfer in history for a player who only made his senior debut in August. Benfica stated to the Portugese stock market: "Atletico Madrid submitted a proposal for the acquisition of [Felix] for a total amount of 126,000,000 euros which is being analysed."
