San Jose Earthquakes have signed veteran forward Chris Wondolowski to a new one year deal.

Columbus Crew have handed out 8 one year contract. Wil Trapp, Pedro Santos, Jonathan Mensah, Josh Williams, Waylon Francis, Hector Jimenez, Jon Kempin and Luis Argudo are all contracted for the 2020 Major League Soccer season.

Forbes Add To The Pointless Lists

Forbes magazine have created a list of the highest paid football agents, with the biggest surprise being that, according to them, Jorge Mendes is only second on the list to Gareth Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett.
1. Jonathan Barnett (Stellar Group) Commissions of $128m
2. Jorge Mendes (Gestifute) Commissions of $118m
3. Mino Raiola Commissions of $70.3m
4. Volker Struth (SportsTotal) Commissions of $43.7m
5. Alessandro Lucci (World Soccer Agency) Commissions of $28.5m
6. Meissa N'Diaye (Sport Cover) Commissions of $21.2m
There is some serious doubts about the accuracy, as it is based purely on the contracts of players and the maximum percentage of that salary, capped by FIFA, of 10%.

Yashin Award List

As well as revealing their lengthy shortlist for the Ballon d'Or, France Football also released it's shortlist of ten goalkeepers in the running for the Yashin Award. Bizarrely Hugo Lloris has made both lists, despite having a terrible season last season, by his standards, and struggling this season before his injury.
1. Ederson, Manchester City
2. Alisson Becker, Liverpool
3. Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich
4. Andre Onana, Ajax
5. Wojciech Szczesny, Juventus
6. Jan Oblak, Atletico Madrid
7. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Chelsea
8. Samir Handanovic, Inter Milan
9. Hugo Lloris, Tottenham Hotspur
10. Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Barcelona

EFL Accused Of Failing Bury

The English Football League has been accused of "failing to execute" its own rules when Bury were the subject of a £1 takeover by Steve Dale in 2018. A select committee inquiry into football governance summoned EFL executive chair Debbie Jevans to answer questions over their handling of the situation surrounding Bury. Jevans told the committee regarding Dale: "He complied with owners and directors test as it was written but that was when the problems started. There was no evidence of funding. We want to learn lessons from this. That's why we're having an independent review into this and I don't want to pre-empt or anticipate what the results of that may be. He was in hospital a lot and if someone says that they're in hospital and recovering from cancer, you don't want to say that that's wrong at all. There were any number of excuses. He provided evidence of funding, we then investigated what that source of funding was and we found that on every occasion the funding didn't exist and couldn't be backed up." The chair of the committee, Damian Collins, said: "The EFL failed in its duty to execute its own rules."

Rowett Steps In At The Wall

Millwall have chosen former Burton Albion, Birmingham City, Derby County and Stoke City boss Gary Rowett as their replacement for Neil Harris, who resigned earlier this month. Millwall are currently 17th in the Championship table, 5 points above the drop zone.

Sol Shines On Southend

While the frequently failed Rowett has stepped into yet another role at a Championship club, Sol Campbell, who had comparative success in his only attempt at management with Macclesfield Town, has been appointed to take charge of League One side Southend United. After talks with Celtic legend Henrik Larsson broke down, the struggling Shrimpers turned to former England international defender Sol Campbell. Campbell will be assisted by Hermann Hreidarsson and Andy Cole.

Man Utd Issue Indefinite Length Ban

Manchester United have banned the fan ejected during the weekend's 1-1 draw with bitter rivals Liverpool, for an indefinite period. The fan was accused of racially abusing Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and removed from the ground immediately and an investigation launched by the Old Trafford club. They have now stated: "Racism and all forms of discrimination are completely unacceptable and do not reflect the values of our club. This individual isn't welcome at Old Trafford. We want to reinforce that we will continue to take strong action against anyone who we identify has engaged in racist or discriminatory abuse, either online or at our matches."

3 Chelsea Fans Facing Life Bans

Three Chelsea fans are set to be suspended from attending matches by the club after they racially abused another Chelsea fan during a tie at Slavia Prague in April. The abused fan, Jerome Bailey, contacted the club with the names and seat numbers of those he alleged abused him but was upset that the club took 6 months just to contact him about the incident. Bailey told the BBC: "It's the result I wanted all along but it's unfortunate and disappointing that it's taken so long to get to this point. Maybe Chelsea need to look at how efficient their procedures are in this area."

Brazilian Police Arrest Gang Of Flamengo Supporters

Ahead of the second leg of the Copa Libertadores semi-final between Flamengo and Gremio, Brazilian police have stepped in to arrest 16 Flamengo fans and issue 27 warrants and 89 restraining orders. Police said: "A gang was exchanging audio and video messages on social media to plan the invasion. Among the information gathered were threats to kill police, rob, cause damage and harass Gremio fans."
