Football News: Barcelona reject Fabregas bid

Manchester United yesterday lodged a bid for former Arsenal man Cesc Fabregas.The fee offered to Barcelona is believed to be in the region of £25 however Barcelona immediately rejected the offer however it's unclear whether United will make a second bid for the Spanish International.

Fabregas has premier league experience with Arsenal whom he captained.
Fabregas is said not to be interested in a move back to England where he kick started his career after moving from Barcelona to Arsenal but challenge for a regular place in the Barcelona lineup where he hasn't been able to establish himself since his move back to his homeland.

Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward is believed to have flown back to England to seal a deal for an incoming at Old trafford which has prompted rumors that the arrival of Fabregas is imminent at Manchester United however there has been no word from either club or the player.

Fabregas cost Barcelona €34 million euros when he made the move back to Spain back in 2011 and should he decide to move to Utd Barca would want to recoup most of that money they paid back.Fabregas despite saying he wants to stay at Barca is also thought to be attracting interest from former clubs Arsenal who have a first refusal should he want to leave the Catalan giants.
