New Swindon Town owner Clem Morfuni has appointed Ben Garner as head coach. Garner was previously in charge at Bristol Rovers. Ben Chorley is to take the role of director of football at the Robins.

Steve Cooper has left his role of head coach of Swansea City after two years in charge.

Blackpool have appointed Stuart McCall to assist Neil Critchley. The 57-year-old former Scotland midfielder has been out of work since being sacked as Bradford City's head coach in December.

Disciplinary Charges

In Ghana, Inter Allies midfielder Hashim Musah has claimed that he scored two own goals in his team's last match as a stand against match-fixing. Musah claims that the game was supposed to end 4-1 so he came on and deliberately put the ball into the back of his own net twice, in blatant (and comical) fashion.

Despite Derby County's constant flouting of league financial fair play regulations, the EFL have relaxed the transfer embargo on them. The Rams will now be allowed to bring in out-of-contract players to increase their first-team squad to 23, rather than having to use their much-vaunted youth team to pad out the squad.

Hampshire police are treating the matter "as a hate-related incident".

Swindon Takeover Nears Completion

The mess that is Swindon Town looks to be clearing up now after the current chairman, Lee Power, transferred his shares in the club. Australian businessman Clem Morfuni, who already had a small stake in the Robins, had gone to the High Court to force Power to sell to him. The English Football League have confirmed that Morfuni has passed the directors' and owners' test and has their consent to buy the shares, moving the last hurdle to his takeover out of the way.

Porn Baron Rejects Sale Of Hammers

One of the co-owners of West Ham United, David Sullivan, has rejected an offer to sell the club to former Queens Park Rangers ceo Philip Beard. Sullivan branded the £400m+ bid as "derisory" and confirmed (no doubt to groans from Hammers fans everywhere) that he has "no desire" to sell the club. Sullivan said: "The offer was derisory. They never produced any proof of funds and were looking to raise funds to do the deal. We have no desire to sell the club but get approached by many weird and wonderful people who lack the funds and have no experience in running a football club. Mr Beard did a truly exceptional job at QPR working with Tony Fernandes. Having done so well there he no doubt wanted to repeat the success at West Ham."

New Deal For Inter

Inter Milan have parted company with Pirelli as they have a new shirt sponsor after 26 years of Pirelli branded shirts. Next season the front of the Serie A champions' shirts will feature the logo of Socios.
