Job Changes

The president of the Confederation of African Football Patrice Motsepe has said that African football will support Gianni Infantino in his attempt to gain re-election as FIFA president. Infantino stood unopposed to begin his second term and is, as of now, unopposed ahead of the election process next year. Motsepe said: "We discussed at the executive committee meeting that in recognition of the huge contributions, commitment and the track record that you've built in terms of improving African football, all 54 member nations have taken a resolution to vote for you (Gianni Infantino) for re-election. He has shown so much commitment and love to football in Africa. I've been honoured whilst visiting about 30 nations over the last year, to hear the people who love football on the African continent as well as the presidents of football in all of the 54 African nations. They've said that the work Gianni Infantino has done, the visible improvements and the contribution to African football is greatly appreciated."

This evidence will be handed over to Gwent Police. The male will be banned from attending matches at Rodney Parade pending the police investigation. Following the outcome of the police investigation, the length of this club ban will be determined. The pitch must remain safe for players, managers and match officials, just as the stands should be for supporters. The EFL is bringing in strong measures across the whole of football to tackle antisocial and criminal behaviours within grounds. The football club and stadium are committed to protecting the game and enforcing these measures." The only question is whether this is a punishment or a reward?

Argyle Set For Upgrades

Plymouth Argyle have agreed to buy land in the city to build a new training facility. The League One club have agreed a deal to buy land from the Parkway Sports Club in the Ernesettle area that has pitches that are currently used by a number of amateur sides, that Argyle are promising to support in finding alternative facilities. A US-based consortium invested £4m into the club last week, earmarked for infrastructure projects such as a new training ground. A club statement read: "For some time, the club has been seeking a suitable area of land within the city to enhance our infrastructure, and earlier this year we were approached by the directors of the facility with a view to selling the land to us. We have a very clear, long-term strategic vision to become a sustainable Championship football club. To achieve this objective, we need to ensure that all our people have the very best facilities available to them - both to train our existing players and to attract the quality of new players we desire."
