Monaco full-back Caio Henrique has agreed a 5-year contract.

Nikola Milenkovic has tied himself to Fiorentina until 2027.

AC Ajaccio have given Vincent Marchetti a 2 year deal.

Real Madrid teenager Alvaro Rodriguez has agreed to stay with the club for 5 more years.

Brighton & Hove Albion have given Andy Moran a 3 year contract.

Northampton Town's captain Jon Guthrie has signed a new 3 year deal.

AC Milan's former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori has signed a 5 year contract.

Barcelona midfielder Nico Gonzalez has extended his deal until 2026 and his buyout clause has been increased to 1bn euros.

 


Transfers

Manchester City have agreed a fee for Spain defender Sergio Gomez with Anderlecht.

Monza have signed Spanish defender Pablo Mari on loan for the season from Arsenal.

Southampton winger Nathan Tella has signed for Burnley on loan for the season.

Swansea City have loaned forward Kyle Joseph to Oxford United for the season.

Port Vale have paid an undisclosed fee to Fleetwood Town for striker Ellis Harrison and taken Oxford United keeper Jack Stevens on a season-long loan deal.

Former Chelsea youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has moved to Charlton Athletic on a season-long loan from rivals Crystal Palace.

Alfie Mawson has re-signed for Wycombe Wanderers on a free transfer from Fulham. Mawson previously spent a season on loan at the Chairboys from Brentford, when he won the club's player of the year award.

Swansea City have sent Jordon Garrick to Lincoln City on loan for the season.

Swindon Town have signed Frazer Blake-Tracy from Burton Albion for a season-long loan.

Another season-long loan deal will see Bournemouth midfielder Nathan Moriah-Welsh playing for Newport County.

Free agent veteran defender Paul Huntington has signed for Carlisle United after being released by Preston North End at the end of the season.

Juventus have signed Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt.

West Ham United have sent Nikola Vlasic to Torino on loan.

Atalanta midfielder Aleksey Miranchuk has also joined Torino on loan.

Sampdoria have taken Nikita Contini on loan from Napoli.

Veteran goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu has joined Napoli on a free transfer from Genoa.

Almeria have sent Nikola Maras to Alaves on loan.

Young Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Serrano has joined Mirandes on loan.

Union Berlin defender Dominique Heintz has joined VfL Bochum on loan.

Shanghai Port have signed Lei Wu from Espanyol.

Norrkoping have signed Arnor Ingvi Traustason on a free transfer from Major League Soccer's New England Revolution.

Moving within the MLS is Tyler Pasher who has joined New York Red Bulls on a free transfer from Houston Dynamo.

Almeria have signed Fernando Pacheco on a free transfer from Alaves.

Elche centre-back Josema has joined Leganes on a free transfer.

Millwall have signed Andreas Voglsammer from Union Berlin.

Despite being linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United's head coach Erik ten Hag has said that he expects Marcus Rashford to stay.

After selling the second part of Barca Studios, their 4th economic lever, Barcelona have been able to register Franck Kessis, Andreas Christensen, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha. They have also been able to register renewed deals for Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto. They still neeed to raise more funds to allow them to register the defender they beat Chelsea to sign, Jules Kounde. Almeria are in a similar position in La Liga and have five players that are currently unregistered: Houbouland Mendes, Alejandro Pozo, Marko Milanovic, Fernando Pacheco and Leo Baptistao. They are looking to sell former Rangers loanee Umar Sadiq to raise funds.

Willian, the former Chelsea and Arsenal winger, has quit Corinthians after claiming he and his family received death threats on social media. Willian said: "Whenever Corinthians lost and I didn't play well, my family received threats and insults on social media - my wife, my children, and recently they also started attacking my father, my sister."

Real Valladolid have paid £900,000 for the signing of Mickael Malsa from Levante.

Torino winger Vincenzo Millico has joined Cagliari.

Salernitana have paid £900,000 for Metz centre-back Dylan Bronn.

Real Madrid have loaned Marvin Park to Las Palmas.

Former West Ham United goalkeeper Roberto has been released by Real Valladolid.

Brondby have paid £1.58m for experienced Atletico Madrid midfielder Daniel Wass.

Josema has moved to Leganes on a free transfer from Elche.

West Bromwich Albion have loaned former Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt to Middlesbrough for the season.

Newcastle United have paid an undisclosed fee to sign teenage goalkeeper Jude Smith from East Fife.

Xavi has said Miralem Pjanic will be staying at Barcelona this season, despite being farmed out on loan to Besiktas last season by Xavi's predecessor Ronald Koeman.

Sligo Rovers loan signing from RB Leipzig Fabrice Hartmann has been hit with a "registration issue" and will be unavailable to them until January. The Irish league season runs across the calendar year, so that means they can only play him from next season.

 


Injury Round Up

Former Everton defender Brendan Galloway has returned to full fitness for after a dislocated kneecap. The Plymouth Argyle player missed the African Cup of Nations due to his injury.

New Aberdeen signing Callum Roberts has suggered a hamstring injury which has ruled him out for over 2 months.

Bristol Rovers full-back James Gibbons has suffered a stress fracture in his foot which will keep him out for at least 2 months.

Sutton United defender Ben Goodliffe will be out for 6 months due to a ruptured posterior cruciate ligament injury.

Jurgen Klopp is hoping to have Spanish midfielder Thiago back fit to play for Liverpool within a month, despite his hamstring injury being "not good".

West Bromwich Albion striker Daryl Dike has been ruled out for a "right few weeks" after suffering a "substantial tear" to his thigh muscle.

 


Job Changes

Vahid Halilhodzic has left his post as head coach of the Moroccan national team just 3 months before the World Cup. The Bosnian led Morocco to qualification but there was disagreement over how to prepare the team for the finals. It had been rumoured for a while that there were problems with Halilhodzic as after the president of Morocco's federation Fouzi Lekjaa announced that Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech would be in the World Cup squad, despite a very public spat with Halilhodzic which had led Ziyech to quit international football in February.

Steven Hammell has been made permanent manager of Motherwell after a spell as interim manager. Hammell was previously academy director at Fir Park, a youth set-up that he began his playing career as part of.

Football Association of Wales president Steve Williams has revealed that they are close to agreeing a permanent deal with Robert Page. Page has been acting as interim head coach since Ryan Giggs stepped away due to his trial for abusive and controlling behaviour to his girlfriend.

As expected Rangers have confirmed the appointment of Ceri Bowley as first-team coach after the Welshman left Manchester City. Bowley was Head of Coaching Support at City. Rangers Sporting Director Ross Wilson said: "A warm welcome to Ceri and we are really pleased that he joins our support staff. During the process to appoint Gio as our new manager, we discussed that we would retain an open position to add another coach into our group. We wanted that person to bring a different and wide skillset as we continue to develop our football methodology across the club. Ceri agreed to join some months ago and is now able to start following the conclusion of a notice period with the City Football Group."

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he is set to retire once his spell at Madrid comes to an end. Ancelotti said: "This stage at Real will end my career. After Los Blancos, I'll stop. Real is the top of football. It makes sense to put an end to it after this experience."

 


Disciplinary Charges

Barnsley have ended their relationship with new shirt sponsor HEX.com following an investigation into homophobic social media posts connected with HEX.com. The Tykes only announced the deal 7 days ago but have now "taken steps to end the relationship with immediate effect".

 


Pointless List Of The Day

Today's pointless list is the list of nominees for the Ballon d'Or, which is completely pointless as it will clearly go to Karim Benzema. Let's be honest, a lot of these players are not even close to deserving the award and make no sense to even be on there, yes I am looking at you Cristiano Ronaldo! That Ronaldo is on there but Lionel Messi misses out for the first time since 2005 is probably the only thing of interest in the list.

Scots Scrap Cup Replays

Scottish Cup matches will no longer have replays after the preliminary stage following a vote by Scottish FA's member clubs. Any game that ends in a draw will go to extra time and then penalties to be decided.

 


Kopa Trophy

France Football's shortlist for the Kopa Trophy has been released. The award is for the 'best-performing player in world football under the age of 21' and has been running since 2018. It is selected by former Ballon d'Or Winners.
