Football News: Is Slot building Feyenoord 2.0 at Liverpool FC?

Is Slot building Feyenoord 2.0 at Liverpool FC?

Is Arne Slot building a Feyenoord 2.0 Premier League Edition At Liverpool FC?

In goal was Justin Bijlow and what an upgrade to now have Alison Becker as your more experienced goalkeeper who's not just an upgrade but an elite distributor when under pressure and great for the Slot style build up play.

Right back he had Lutsharel Geertruida and now we will have Frimpong who is a more advanced wing back and not a sort of hybrid CB, he will try to invert more like Trent or give the over lapping width.

Left back he had Quilindschy Hartman who's similar to Kerkez, both high energy runners, Kerkez is maybe a bit raw defensively when comparing but so much stronger in the 1v1.

At CB he had Trauner + Hancko and now he has Virg and Ibou, clearly a huge upgrade for what Slot likes in terms of Virg's control and Ibou's athleticism and both are comfortable progressing play.

CM (double pivot) he had Weiffer and Kokcu and now has Macca and Dom, Macca is a lot more creative and better positionally but would say less of a destroyer and slot will likely carry on using Grav as the anchor. I like Kokcu and Dom both are dynamic, press resistant and technical, I prefer Dom for power and goal threat even though he doesn't always shoot when he has the option. I see dom rotating with Macca or Wirtz.

CAM - Slot had Sebastian Szymanski and now it looks like we will have Wirtz, well there's not really a comparison IMO, Wirtz is a difference maker, an elite player. He can drift wide, break the lines. He brings so much flair, vision and goals.

RW he had Alireza Jahanbakhsh and we don't need an introduction to one of the best RW the club's ever seen in the Egyptian phenom that is Mo Salah, Salah is word class and more direct than anyone slots previously had and possible rotation with Frimpong also when needed (Alcon / injuries).

LW - Slot had Javairo Dilrosun here and has the upgrade of Diaz and Gakpo, Diaz looks like he's possibly off this summer but remains to be seen, Gakpo fits well for us, very good in tight spaces, links up play well.

ST - Slot was known for transforming Santiago Gimenez into the player he was, unfortunately it doesn't look as though it's worked for Nunez so can't see him being given any longer and Jota can't stay fit even though he's the most clinical. I think we go for Gyokeres because he's like a Gimenez x2, more explosive, more technical and can press really well, link up play and scores a lot of goals. I hear people when they say he's not proven but it's either than or a younger player who is no where near ready for the physicality of the Premier League.

If Liverpool lose Trent, Diaz, and Nunez and replace with Frimpong, Kerkez, Wirtz and Gyokeres, Slot would still retain the tactical DNA of his Feyenoord system, just elevated with elite players. The most important similarity is system first football with interchanging roles.

All my opinion guys and your welcome to add or adjust but this is how it looks to me and I'm here for it because Feyenoord were great to watch when Slot was in charge and it was his team!
