Contracts

Southampton have given Nathan Redmond a 4 year deal.

Aaron Mooy signed a new deal with Huddersfield Town which runs until 2022.

Scottish midfielder John McGinn has signed a 5 year contract with Aston Villa.

Ajax midfielder Jurgen Ekkelenkamp has a new 3 year deal.

Josh Dacres-Cogley has signed a new deal with Birmingham City which runs until 2021.

Jacob Greaves signed a 3 year contract extension with Hull City.

 


Transfers

Guingamp left-back Pedro Rebocho has joined Besiktas on loan.

Nottingham Forest have taken John Bostock on loan from Toulouse. Forest have also signed Chema from Levante.

Everton have paid nearly £30m for Alex Iwobi from Arsenal.

Cardiff City left-back Greg Cunningham has joined Blackburn Rovers on loan. Also leaving Cardiff on loan is striker Bobby Reid who has joined Fulham.

Arsenal have spent just under £8m on Brazilian defender David Luiz from Chelsea.

Fulham have taken Harrison Reed on loan from Southampton.

Belgian midfielder Dennis Praet has joined Leicester City from Sampdoria for just under £20m.

Barnsley have signed Austrian forward Patrick Schmidt from Admira Wacker of the Austrian Bundesliga.

Argentine defender Facundo Roncaglia has joined Osasuna from Celta de Vigo for just over £200,000.

Sheffield United have signed Dutch keeper Michael Verrips on a free transfer and Bosnian midfielder/defender Muhamed Besic on loan from Everton.

Chelsea have loaned out Izzy Brown to Luton Town, Jacob Maddox to Tranmere Rovers, Trevor Chalobah to Huddersfield Town, Josh Grant to Plymouth Argyle and Danny Drinkwater to Burnley.

Jamie Paterson is joining Derby County on loan from Bristol City. Joining Bristol City on loan is Benik Afobe from Stoke City. Also leaving Bristol City on loan is defender Zak Vyner who has joined Aberdeen.

Burnley forward Nahki Wells has joined Queens Park Rangers on loan.

Aston Villa defender James Bree has joined Luton Town on loan.

Former Rangers defender David Bates has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan from Hamburg.

Fulham have signed Josh Onomah on a free transfer from Tottenham Hotspur. Going the other way is teenage left sided player Ryan Sessegnon for a fee of nearly £25m. Also joining Spurs is Giovani Lo Celso on loan from Real Betis with an option to make the deal permanent. Spurs are paying a loan fee of over £14m. Leaving Spurs on loan is American defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is joining Stoke City.

MLS side Seattle Sounders have paid a loan fee of over £100,000 for Emanuel Cecchini on loan from Malaga.

Sporting Clube de Portugal winger Matheus Pereira has joined West Bromwich Albion on loan.

Manchester City have paid nearly £11m for teenage Spanish right-back Pedro Porro from Girona.

Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria has joined Reading on loan.

Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan.

Former Arsenal youngster Chris Willock has joined West Bromwich Albion on loan from Benfica.

Veteran keeper Scott Carson has joined Manchester City on loan from Derby County.

Aston Villa have released Birkir Bjarnason.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Scottish left back Kieran Tierney from Celtic for over £24m. They have also sent young forward Eddie Nketiah on loan to Leeds United.

Everton defender Matthew Pennington has joined Hull City on loan. Also joining Hull are a trio of permanent deals in the shape of Leonardo Da Silva Lopes from Wigan Athletic, Callum Elder from Leicester City and Josh Magennis from Bolton Wanderers.

Los Angeles Galaxy have signed Cristian Pavon on loan from Boca Juniors.

Empoli have taken Jure Balkovec on loan from Hellas Verona.

Inter Milan have spent nearly £60m on the man with trampolines in his boots, Romelu Lukaku, from Manchester United.

Brighton & Hove Albion have taken Australian midfielder Aaron Mooy on loan from Huddersfield Town.

FC Cincinnati have signed Derrick Etienne on loan from New York Red Bulls.

Watford have spent a club record £27m on Senegalese winger Ismaila Sarr from Stade Rennais.

West Bromwich Albion have spent roughly £4m on English striker Charlie Austin from Southampton. The Baggies have also signed Grady Diangana on loan from West Ham United.

Paris Saint-Germain keeper Remy Descamps has signed for RSC Charleroi.

Valencia have loaned Uros Racic to Portugese side Famalicao.

Newcastle United have signed Swedish right back Emil Krafth from Amiens for just under £5m.

Charlton Athletic have signed West Bromwich Albion duo Sam Field and Jonathan Leko on loan and Beram Kayal on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Sheffield Wednesday have paid nearly £1m for Massimo Luongo from QPR.

Bristol City have signed Adam Nagy from Bologna for just over £2m.

1.FSV Mainz 05 have paid a loan fee of roughly £450,000 to Liverpool for Taiwo Awoniyi.

Leeds United have signed teenage French keeper Illan Meslier on loan from FC Lorient.

West Ham United have completed the nearly £8m signing of Alban Ajeti from FC Basel.

Dusseldorf have taken Kasim Adams on loan from Hoffenheim.

Crawley Town have taken Birmingham City defender Josh Dacres-Cogley on loan and added free agent keeper Alfie Jones on a free transfer from MK Dons.

Teenage defender Jacob Greaves has joined Cheltenham Town on loan.

Rochdale have taken Tyler Magloire on loan from Blackburn Rovers for the season.

Veteran striker Steve Morison has turned his loan move to Shrewsbury Town into a permanent move from Millwall.

Brentford have signed teenage defender Dominic Thompson from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee.

Millwall have taken Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Luke Steele on loan.

Wigan Athletic have made a double deadline-day signing. Bright Enobakhare on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tom Pearce from Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.

Barnsley have signed Leeds United left-back Clarke Oduor for an undisclosed fee.

Mark Duffy has joined Stoke City on a season-long loan deal from Sheffield United.

Derby County have signed experienced goalkeeper Ben Hamer on loan from Bristol City.

Luton Town have signed Luke Bolton on loan from Manchester City.

Cardiff City have signed Bristol City captain Marlon Pack for an undisclosed fee.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed midfielder Meritan Shabani from Bayern Munich.

Middlesbrough defender Sam Stubbs has joined Hamilton Academical on loan for the season.

Andy Carroll has signed a pay-as-you-play deal with boyhood club Newcastle United.

 


Injury Round-Up

Forest Green Rovers will have to make do without forward George Williams for up to 5 months after he broke his fibula and damaged ankle ligaments in their opening league match of the season. The Welsh international underwent surgery on Thursday. Rovers manager Mark Cooper said: "Everything went really well, the surgeon was really happy with it and one of our physios sat through the operation and observed it and we're pleased with how it has gone."

Manchester City's flying winger Leroy Sane is to have ACL surgery after he tore the ligament in his right knee in the Community Shield. A club statement read: "He [Sane] has undergone testing throughout the week, with a specialist doctor travelling to Manchester for further examinations to understand the extent of the injury. Manchester City will provide Leroy with all the support and guidance he needs, and everyone connected with the club wishes him a quick and full recovery."

 


Bury Threatened With League Expulsion

The English Football League has given Bury 14 days to meet the EFL's insolvency policy orbe expelled from the league. Bury have had their first three games of the season suspended as the league awaits clarity over their ability to pay off outstanding creditors. EFL executive chairman Debbie Jevans said: "Despite continued efforts, regular communication and dialogue with [Bury chairman] Mr Steve Dale and his team, the required evidence has not been forthcoming. Albeit regretfully, the board has been left with no choice but to take the action it has."

 


Bolton Takeover Blocked

Laurence Bassini has succeeded in blocking the takeover of Bolton Wanderers by Football Ventures via a court order. Bassini had previously tried to buy the club himself. Bolton administrator Paul Appleton said: "It is with a combination of outrage and disgust that I have to inform Bolton fans that the deal to sell the club has been temporarily suspended in the last hour. Despite a long and hugely complex process of negotiation, we were finally on the brink of completion this afternoon when Bassini's order was served. Our lawyers are now in conversation with Counsel in a bid to overturn the order immediately."

 


Jesus Given 2 Month Ban

Manchester City's Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus has been given a 2 month international ban for his behaviour following his Copa America final sending off. After remonstrating with the referee, Jesus kicked a water bottle and then pushed a VAR monitor in a fit of petulance. He has also been fined $30,000.

 


Foxes Confirm New Chairman

Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has been formally confirmed as the chairman of Leicester City, succeeding his father Vichai.
