Football News: Desperate Scousewives Series Part 3

My friend's sister met up with a few of her friends this weekend for a chat - basically a smaller group of women from within this overall group. This smaller group are die hard reds and they have their own chat where they basically share bits of gossip they've heard from the rest of the wider group that includes the WAGs I've mentioned - You can't make this stuff up!
(OH, and guess what this secret inner-circle group chat is now called, after I mentioned the term Desperate Scousewives to my friend and she thought it was hilarious!).

Anyway, so my friend's sister met up with these other girls on saturday night, and she gave me and her brother the lowdown yesterday evening - and I have some updates!

Apparently, Ailen (Macca's girlfriend) told one of the girls that Alexis was asked by the club for a character reference on Lautaro Martinez! He was asked to do the same last year for Julian Alvarez, and we know that the club was interested in Alvarez last year, so this definitely seems to further confirm the club are looking at Lautaro!

Ailen has apparently been talking up Liverpool life to Agustina (Lautaro's wife) for a couple of weeks now, and she's open to the move! They were saying that apparently Lautaro actually fancies his chances of winning a Balon d'Or next year if he moves to Liverpool and if Argentina have a good World Cup run next summer, because he fancies himself to finish the chances that Nunez and co have missed this season! Apparently it's a running joke that Macca has been in the ears of both Lautaro and Julian Alvarez any time they go on international duty, saying that either of them could win the Golden Shoe if they came to Liverpool!

Also, apparently Ailen (Macca's gf) is not the only one talking up the move to Agustina (Lautaros wife) . Apparently Agustina has also been getting very positive recommendations from a girl called Muri Lopez Benitez. And who is her boyfriend, you might ask? Well, none other than Man United's Lisandro Martinez! And apparently Lisandro is raging that Muri has been helping convince Agustina to come, because as much as he'd love to have Lautaro as his neighbour, he hates the idea of him joining Liverpool!
Definite positive signs on the Lautaro front anyways, and all seems like both the player and his wife are very open to the move!

Oh, and apparently when Macca was asked for the character reference for Lautaro (for whom he gave a glowing reference, btw) Macca also apparently gave a completely unsolicted reference for Cuti Romero! The club literally asked "What's Lautaro like? " and Macca really replied "He's great! And so is Romero!", haha.

Apparently the girls' group chat went wild with jokes about "El Reclutador" (The Recruiter) when Macca made those comments about Romero being the best CB in the world! He never stops! But from a rumours stand point, it does sound like the Romero stuff is more Macca trying to convince the club to have a look, rather than the club being interested and asking him his thoughts.

Haven't really heard anything from the girls on the Julian Alvarez front (other than the fact Macca was asked to give a character reference on him last year and gave him a great reference, and is always trying to convince him to come). Will keep you all posted if I get any updates on any changes there!
